Hard ferrite pot magnet with cylinder bore, galvanized
Low-profile ferrite pot magnets with a straight, through cylindrical hole and high temperature resistance up to 200 °C. Ideal for universal mechanical fastening, suspension, and industrial assembly applications.
Thanks to the robust zinc-plated steel housing, the brittle ferrite core is optimally protected against mechanical impact, while the magnetic flux is powerfully redirected to the active pole face for maximum holding force.
Operation & Construction of the Ferrite Pot Magnet
A ferrite pot magnet with a through hole consists of a hard ferrite magnetic core permanently enclosed within a robust, zinc-plated steel housing. This housing serves a dual purpose. On one hand, the steel cup shields the relatively brittle magnetic core from mechanical shocks, impacts, and premature breakage during intensive industrial use. On the other hand, the steel enclosure forms a technically optimized magnetic circuit. The magnetic flux that would normally escape from the rear is redirected and concentrated onto the active pole face. This results in a significantly higher holding force upon direct contact with a ferromagnetic counter-surface compared to a bare magnet of equal dimensions.
Advantages of a Straight Through (Cylindrical) Hole
Unlike variants with a countersunk opening, this category of pot magnets features a straight, cylindrical through hole. This specific design offers maximum flexibility during mechanical installation:
• Universal Screw Fastening: Perfectly suited for mounting with socket head cap screws, cheese head screws, hexagonal bolts, or threaded rods, eliminating dependency on a specific screw head angle.
• Robust Assemblies: Ideal for applications where the magnet needs to be secured via a continuous bolt from the rear of a panel or machine component.
• Flexible Positioning: The magnet can be screwed flat onto a substrate or utilized flexibly as a structural clamping element.
Industrial Applications and Environmental Durability
Thanks to the intrinsic material properties of hard ferrite, these pot magnets are exceptionally well-suited for harsh industrial environments and outdoor applications. The material naturally possesses outstanding resistance to corrosion and withstands various chemical exposures. Furthermore, these systems are thermally highly stable, maintaining their magnetic specifications and dependable holding force in environments with operating temperatures up to 200 °C.
This makes the ferrite pot magnet with a straight through hole a universal and highly cost-effective solution for serial production, machine building, fixture customization, professional exhibition setups, and general workshop organization.
