Type: SAV 240.50. Samarium Cobalt (SmCo5) magnetic plate, not shielded, very powerful. Samarium Cobalt (SmCo) magnets can be used in numerous applications. In terms of clamping force, these magnets are similar to Neodymium magnets, but can be used at temperatures up to 200°C (Neodymium only 80°C). This is why SmCo magnets are often used in dies.
